NYC's Lower East Side, California Parks Make `Endangered' List

Manhattan's Lower East Side, the first home for generations of immigrants; California's entire state park system; an art-deco movie theater in Philadelphia; and a modernist hotel in Dallas made the list of ``America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places'' of 2008, the National Trust for Historic Preservation said today.
