Development Department
The Development Department includes a range of fundraising programs focusing on the cultivation of major individual, foundation, and corporate gifts.
Individual Giving: handles solicitation and stewardship of one-time major gifts, as well as annual giving from individual donors. Planned Giving: solicits major gifts including bequests, outright gifts of securities, personal property or life insurance, and gifts that provide income to the donor. Foundation & Corporate Philanthropy: provides direction, research, information and advice to programs in need of special restricted funds from foundations and corporations; responsible for raising unrestricted funds from foundations and corporations. Research & Administration and Business & Data Management: handles donor database management, and research for the department, as well as overseeing department-wide issues regarding budget, finances, polices and procedures. Development Writing: handles proposal writing, gift acknowledgments, donor communication through newsletters and special mailings
Donor Relations: plans and coordinates donor events.
