Multi-faceted position with 50 years old historic preservation organization located in the Louisiana Old Governor's Mansion, Baton Rouge. The Director of Education joins a small full-time staff totaling five persons and a number of part-time employees. OGM is a historic house museum, FHL headquarters, and venue for events. Mission is to preserve the architectural and cultural heritage of Louisiana through education, advocacy, and stewardship. FHL is not funded by city, state, or federal monies and budget is earned each year through numerous events, programs, and services.
Lagniappe Tours, heritage tourism Old Governor's Mansion Tour Program--visitors, docents FHL Membership, renewal, recruitment Historic House Museum Fine Arts and Furnishing Collection Educational Programing, Heritage Lectures, Summer Camp Duties assigned by ED Duties as part of the FHL staff for success of total operation
- Masters Degree
- Past work experience with a preservation organization
- Essential qualifications include personality, flexibility, creativity.
- Able to carry out department duties but relate to the total organizational responsibilities.
- Ability to accomplish the mission of the organization through a team effort.
