The position is located here on Ft Bliss, in far west Texas. The area enjoys a warm, desert climate, and the cost of living is well below the National average. Most folks live here in El Paso, TX or in neighboring Las Cruces, NM and make the short commute (about 40 minutes) to Ft Bliss. Ft Bliss sits in the tri-state area, in far west Texas, bordering New Mexico and Chihuahua, Mexico. Duties

The main cantonment on Ft Bliss includes a NRHP Historic District, as well as several additional historic buildings ranging in age from1893 through the Cold War, throughout the installation. Ft Bliss is one of the largest training bases in the US Dept of Defense. It encompasses 1.2 million acres, straddling the Texas/New Mexico border. The largest BRAC base, Bliss is seeing an influx of new units and soldiers, resulting in tremendous growth in the area, both on base and in the surrounding communities.
