Complete all stages of architectural planning, production of contract documents, and construction administration for historic preservation and new building projects.
Develop preliminary plans, construction documents, working drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for new construction and historic preservation projects. Manage bidding and contract administration including submittal review, construction observation, job cost accounting and job status reporting. Coordinate architectural and engineering consultants. Track project schedules and provide updates to stakeholders. Conduct capital planning site reviews and prepare project budgets.
Meets professional qualification standards in 36 CFR 61, Appendix A, in architecture, historic architecture, or its equivalent in education and experience. Degree in architecture from an accredited school of architecture. Minimum five years of work experience in the practice of architecture or equivalent combination of training and work experience. Must be a registered architect in the State of Ohio. Must hold a valid Ohio driver’s license and be able to travel extensively within the state of Ohio. Familiarity with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Historic Preservation Projects is preferred.
