2014 Society for the Preservation of Old Mills Conference
Deadline: October 26, 2014
SPOOM is a forty plus year old organization uniting those with an interest in the history of mills in North America, their charmand aesthetic, with those actively preserving and running many of these mills.
This conference will focus on those original Rochester and Stony Creek mills, how they changed over time, and how they created the Rochester and Rochester Hills that exists today. Visits will occur to mill sites, working mills from the 1800s, modern milling operations, and how mill structures have been saved through adaptive re-use. Learn more at www.spoom.org
