Frank Lloyd Wright Houses Discovered
29 The number of Chicago-area houses that a team of researchers recently identified as Frank Lloyd Wright originals. The discoveries "hit us like a ton of bricks," says team member William Allin Storrer, an adjunct architecture professor at the University of Texas at Austin. He argues that the houses, previously attributed to other architects, bear the artistic signature of the master himself. Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer, director of the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives in Scottsdale, Ariz., remains skeptical due to a lack of hard evidence. Nevertheless, Pfeiffer says, the archives will investigate the assertion.
