Mills 50 Mainstreet is one of Orlando's inaugural Main Street Programs focusing on the commercial revitalization of the East Colonial Drive and Mills Avenue corridor. Our purpose is to foster this wonderfully diverse neighborhood by stimulating business, creating a walkable community and promoting our creative culture.

We're considering candidates for a Program Director, our key organizer and leader whose responsibilities include planning and developing programs, assisting volunteers, soliciting membership, and serving as primary liaison to government entities, community organizations and the Mills 50 board of directors.

To be considered, qualified candidates must possess the following:

·         Substantial familiarity and involvement within the Orlando and Central Florida community.  Must possess a current network of key business and government leaders within the Orlando metro.

·  3-5 years of leadership experience within a non-profit, community based organization.

·  Bachelor's degree with area of study encompassing any of the following:  historic preservation, economic development, business administration and development, marketing, or design.

·  2+ years experience writing grants, preparing budgets and managing finances.

·  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Strong presentation and sales skills a must.
