The Highlandtown Main Street Program in Baltimore, Maryland, used free PicasaTM Web Albums to post pictures of candidates for façade improvements. This allowed the design committee to become more involved and to share comments with each other.  PicasaTM Web Albums allow you to post pictures online rapidly. The albums can be private or public, and they can be used to share and capture comments. Visit http://picasaweb.google.com/highlandtown and click on "3700 block façade pilot" or "Eastern 2007." Pictures can be viewed one by one or in a slide show.

Founded in 2000 by Craig Newmark and others, Craigslist Foundation, http://craigslistfoundation.org, is a publicly supported, non-endowed 501(c)3 operating foundation (i.e., not a grant-making institution).  Just as craigslist.org is about "people helping people" by facilitating online connections, Craigslist Foundation creates community in the nonprofit arena by "helping people help," regardless of cause or sector.

Craigslist Foundation supports nonprofits by providing free and low-cost educational opportunities to emerging nonprofit leaders and social entrepreneurs, thereby fulfilling their mission of "providing knowledge, resources, and visibility to the next generation of nonprofit leaders."
