Designing Sustainable Communities
Sustainability is a leading issue in the United States. The ramifications of sustainability reach far beyond the original context of "going green," however; a truly sustainable community is one that ensures a balance among economic, environmental, and social systems. Efforts aimed at achieving that equilibrium frequently encounter considerable challenges, including difficulty designing effective strategies that incorporate multi-disciplinary approaches to issues as well as practical matters of limited resources and technical capacity. This session will look beyond the buzzword and explore the necessary tools that will enable your community to achieve identifiable sustainability.
