Power of Youth on Main Street
Main Street organizations often underestimate the value of involving young people in their efforts. As Main Street members, these young citizens can share their hopes and dreams for your community. As volunteers, they can bring energy and new ideas to your organization. As shoppers, they are important to economic vitality. Harness these future leaders and learn how you can bring their power to your organization. This panel will share a variety of ways you can tap Youth on Main Street: junior Main Street programs, service learning programs, and much more. Learn youth recruitment and training as well as do’s and don’t’s for working with young volunteers.
