Louisiana Main Street

Louisiana Main Street is a community-driven revitalization program designed to promote the historic and economic redevelopment of traditional commercial districts in Louisiana. The Main Street program improves all aspects of downtown, producing both tangible and intangible benefits. Improving economic management, strengthening public participation, and making downtown a fun place to visit are as critical to Main Street's future as recruiting new businesses and rehabilitating buildings.

For the 2013 National Main Streets Conference, Louisiana Main Street is joined by it's neighbors, Arkansas and Mississippi in their work to help develop content and provide local knowledge and input.

Arkansas Main Street

Main Street Arkansas is a downtown revitalization program that combines historic preservation with economic development to spark life into Arkansas’s traditional commercial cores. With over 25 years of experience, Main Street has seen communities capitalize on the very assets that characterize their downtowns: their distinctive architecture, entrepreneurial spirit, pedestrian-friendly environment and unique sense of place.

Main Street Arkansas provides the resources, education and professional assistance necessary to promote the cultural heritage of the state’s built environment and to stimulate the economic vitality of Arkansas’s downtowns.

Mississippi Main Street

The mission of the Mississippi Main Street Association is to provide leadership, guidance and counsel to Mississippi Main Street communities through organization, promotion, design and economic development to make our cities and towns better places to work, live and play.

Because of strong partnerships and coordinated efforts, MMSA has been successful in assisting with the creation of thousands of new businesses and new jobs in the central business districts in our Main Street programs across the state. By utilizing the Association's expertise, resources, and technical assistance, once deteriorating downtowns are now becoming vibrant and viable, and are taking their rightful place as the heart, center and core of their communities.
