Closing Session - Marriott Hotel Ballroom

Tuesday, May 20
Marriott Hotel Ballroom
4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Tom Daldin is the host of the Emmy award-winning PBS show Under The Radar Michigan, which features the cool people, places and things that make Michigan a great place to be.  Under The Radar Michigan was born out of the creativity of two people who needed to reinvent themselves after losing their jobs in an unstable economy.  They made a conscious decision to create something that would not only help themselves, but also benefit the independent businesses in Michigan.  From its humble beginnings to a show that is now seen in seven states and Canada and with over 30 million media impressions per year, Under The Radar Michigan has become an economic development driver for downtowns and small businesses throughout the state.  This session will inspire you to seek out the hidden gems in your own community.  To not only embrace the different and unusual people and businesses, but to learn how to tell those stories and inspire people to make the trip to your Main Street.
