Be part of a fast-paced interactive discussion about the impacting role of the Main Street Director’s position; addressing questions about salary and benefits while taking a peek at the findings from amongst your peers; and leaving energized and empowered with the “Main Street Toolkit to Success."  Facilitated by the National Main Street Center, this session will also review your input from last year’s session and how the National organization is developing new programs and opportunities to support your professional development. Norma Ramirez de Miess, National Main Street Center
Norma Ramirez de Miess, is a Senior Program Officer and the Director of Leadership Development for the National Main Street Center. Norma works with coordinating partners helping communities across the country identify needs, capitalize on strengths, and implement revitalization strategies. She is focused on building and managing the Center’s professional development programming for Main Street Directors and other members of the network. Norma has organized and facilitated the annual Managers Roundtable Sessions at the conference for the past five years to offer an opportunity that brings them together to discuss common challenges and strategies in leading Main Street. Norma also developed the National Main Street Center Diversity Services and continually works to foster inclusion and representative engagement of all community stakeholders. She often shares revitalization best practices at National Main Streets Conference and other state-wide and national conferences.

Gayla Roten, Missouri Main Street Connection, Inc.
Gayla Roten has served as State Director for Missouri Main Street Connection, Inc. (MMSC) since November, 2007. MMSC is a 501C-3 nonprofit state-wide program. Gayla has a full array of expertise in downtown revitalization and the Main Street 4 Point Approach®. She has over 20 years of extensive experience in serving in Main Street®. Gayla’s wide range of expertise includes organizational development, board and committee development, strategic planning, business development, fundraising strategies, marketing, design, promotions, grant writing, establishment of taxing districts. She has effectively developed, administered and raised the funds from millions of state, federal and foundation grant programs. Gayla also provides advocacy and education of MMSC to the residents of Missouri, the state legislature and executive departments. She strives to serve Missouri Communities with vision, wisdom and passion and is committed to excel in serving downtown communities.

Ronni Wood, Florida Main Street Program
Ronni Wood is the State Coordinator of the Florida Main Street Program.  Ms. Wood worked as a Main Street Manager for 25 years in three different cities in Polk County, Florida during which time she also was a team member of numerous State and National Main Street Resource Teams and Reconnaissance Visits, and served on a National Main Street ad-hoc conference committee. She is a Certified Main Street Manager through the National Main Street Center.
