Using both free or low cost materials and sources, organizations can become savvy story tellers. This session will show how to elevate the status of any Main Street program, regardless of size, by capturing, cultivating and broadcasting Main Street news. Learn how to easily and effectively tell Main Street stories through social media, video, crowdsourcing, and PR events. Attendees will discover how to turn even the most boring subject into exciting coverage to gain both attention and program funding. Step by step instructions to help captivate an audience and bring the limelight to every aspect of a Main Street program will be explained.
Jacqueline Wolven, Eureka Springs Downtown Network/Do Good Work
Jacqueline Wolven left a successful career as a director of marketing in San Francisco to build her own personalized studio, Do Good Work, which helps small businesses and small towns find the right opportunities, learn the tools, and build their brand. She teaches a variety of workshops, maintains a blog, and writes a variety of articles on small businesses and other topics. Currently, Jacqueline is also the executive director at Eureka Springs Downtown Network in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
