Rustbelt Revitalization: A Preservation and Renewal Project in Gary, Indiana

Indiana

Gary, Indiana is one of many Mid-western cities struggling to reinvent itself in the post-industrial era.  Once known for its steel mills' hard-working factory workers and vibrant night-life, the city is now more synonymous with crime, a high unemployment rate, and old rusting industrial facilities.
