The Preservation Trust of Spartanburg, Inc.
South CarolinaThe Preservation Trust of Spartanburg, Inc. (PTSI) will use its $200,000 line of credit from the National Trust’s Inner-City Ventures Fund to acquire, rehabilitate and re-sell single-family homes in the Hampton Heights Local Historic District in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The district is one of the most racially diverse neighborhoods in Spartanburg, the state’s fifth-largest city. Homes in Hampton Heights vary from late 19th century Queen Anne style architecture to small bungalows built between 1910 and 1930. The mix of housing stock complements PTSI’s plan to market the homes to low-to-moderate income buyers as well as buyers on the open market. The source for the National Trust loan is Bank of America.
