In 2004, the National Trust provided the Bureau of Land Management with the financial support needed to stabilize Arch Canyon Ruin, a major Ancestral Puebloan architectural site situated at the mouth of Arch Canyon, Utah. Through its "Sites At Risk" program, BLM had determined that a portion of the ruin was in danger of collapsing, but lacked the money to perform the necessary stabilization work. The National Trust responded by offering a $15,000 challenge grant to BLM, which the Utah State Office agreed to match. BLM successfully completed the stablization work in 2005. The National Trust also helped BLM secure a $225,000 Save America's Treasures grant to undertake additional work at Arch Canyon Ruin as well as at ten other sites in the area.
