Recently, the National Trust for Historic Preservation asked you to take action to protect the thousands of petroglyphs and pictographs in Nine Mile Canyon by contactinig the Bureau of Land Management.  This month, we have video of the harm that the current truck traffic inflicts on a daily basis to the treasured rock art panels.  A proposed oil and gas development project would significantly increase truck traffic inside the Canyon by 416% - causing enormous amounts of dust, chemical dust suppressants and vehicle exhaust to accumulate on and irreparably harm this international treasure.  View the video yourself, and share the story.  Send an e-Card about Nine Mile Canyon to educate your friends!

GREENING YOUR HOME?

The greenest house is the house already built. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't make your old house even more ecofriendly. Planning a green renovation in the next six to twelve months?  Tell us a little about your home and your project and help us share the kind of information property owners need to make their homes and other buildings more energy efficient.  Together, we can tell the story of how historic preservation is a critical tool in the fight against global warming.
