Program Info
We’ve taken Buffalo’s motto -- "Be Surprised" -- to heart in planning this year’s National Preservation Conference, leaving room for plenty of discussion, debate, creativity … and at least a bit of the unexpected. Our schedule includes lively panel sessions, engaging plenaries, even a web documentary filmed on the streets of Buffalo.
Nickel City’s energy is contagious. You’ll want to come early and stay late for in-depth field sessions and once-in-a-lifetime “on your own” opportunities. Get ready to be inspired.
This year’s conference features include:
- Daily general sessions complemented by in-depth breakouts permitting you to focus on your interests.
- Lively education sessions in 14 different tracks.
- Field sessions to Buffalo’s world-class architectural treasures and surrounding attractions, such as Niagara Falls and Roycroft Campus, birthplace of the Arts and Crafts movement.
- Continuing education credits from AIA (HSW, SD and general), APA (ethics, law and general) and USGBC.
- Two-day Exhibit Hall, culminating in the Preservation Action reception and auction on Friday night.
- “Nosh & Network” breaks in the Exhibit Hall.
- Preservation Bookstore
