Philanthropy and the National Trust for Historic Preservation

Generous individual, foundation, and corporate donors advance our work to save historic places in communities nationwide.

Because historic buildings lost today are lost forever, the National Trust remains as dedicated and vigilant in the face of threats to historic places as we have for the past 60 years.  As we weather these challenging times, those who care passionately about historic places must remain firmly resolved to ensure that the importance of preservation is understood by public officials, corporate leaders, and the general public.

The Development Department of the National Trust for Historic Preservation supports the organization's mission by focusing on the cultivation and stewardship of major individual, foundation, and corporate donors.  Development staff members collaborate closely with various departments at our Washington, DC headquarters, and work with professionals in our regional and field offices to secure annual operating and program-specific funds.
