At the National Trust for Historic Preservation, we collaborate with corporations to protect the places that tell our nation’s stories.


American Express has given away millions of dollars to bricks and mortar preservation projects through Partners in Preservation, an annual program targeted to a different city each year. Since 2006, this partnership has been the impetus behind reenergized local preservation efforts as well as national recognition for American Express and the National Trust.

American Queen Steamboat Company

The American Queen Steamboat Company supports the National Trust for Historic Preservation and our work to save America’s National Treasures. By donating $5 to the National Trust for every tour booked on their steamboat and providing their passengers the opportunity to match that donation, the American Queen Steamboat Company is a proud supporter of historic preservation.

Bank of America

Bank of America, which has functioned as the National Trust’s primary commercial bank for over ten years, has been an investment partner with the National Trust Community Investment Corporation (NTCIC) in various historic and new markets tax credit funds. It has also made low-interest loans to the National Trust Loan Funds. Bank of America manages the National Trust’s Affinity Deposit and Credit Card programs, and has made numerous grants to the National Trust’s community development programs including many years of support to the National Trust Main Street Center.


Boeing is supporting the National Trust’s America Saves! program with a $75,000 grant for the Capitol Hill EcoDistrict Demonstration project. Led by the National Trust’s Preservation Green Lab, America Saves! is helping cities and communities to reduce carbon emissions from the built environment while enhancing economic sustainability.


The National Trust partnered with Lowe's EverTrue brand to produce an authentic moulding collection.  The resulting designs celebrate our nation's rich heritage by documenting historic moulding styles and adapting them for today's home.  The moulding collection is available exclusively at Lowe's nationwide via special order, and in-stock at select stores.

Firemans Fund 

Since 2008, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company has been a proud partner of the National Trust – protecting the places that matter by providing insurance coverage designed for the specific needs of historic home and business owners.

Hometown History 

Since its launch in 1995, The History Channel has been a proud partner and supporter of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, sponsoring public service announcements on the 11 Most Endangered listing.


For six years, Lowe’s sponsored the National Trust’s Rosenwald Schools program – giving grants to rebuild and reuse historic African American schoolhouses as community centers, libraries, and museums. These often one-room school houses continue to feed the soul of their communities thanks to Lowe’s support.


Pacifico partnered with the National Trust for Historic Preservation during the summer of 2012 to save America's historic places. Make Adventure Happen was a campaign to give away $100,000 between four charity partners that each preserve the places where adventure happens.

This Old House

This Old House Ventures supports the National Trust for Historic Preservation and our work to save America’s historic places. By donating office space in New York City, This Old House has allowed the Trust to locate its newest field office in city rich in historic places.


The Unico is a small-duct HVAC system uniquely suited to providing older homes and buildings with high-end central heating and air-conditioning while preserving the architectural integrity of any structure. Since 2002, Unico has been a proud partner of the National Trust.


The National Trust worked extensively with Valspar to develop an exclusive collection of historic colors documented from historic sites across the country. The resulting palette, sold exclusively at Lowe's, features over 250 historic colors.  Valspar also supplies paint to our Historic Sites to ensure that these historic treasures are protected for a lifetime.
