Highlighted Tax Credit Projects
The federal historic tax credit has been quietly and effectively transforming historic buildings into new uses that bring jobs, economic development, and a renewed sense of pride to communities nationwide for more than 30 years.
In some places, it has helped revive a vacant snack food factory into arts and studio space. In others, it has given a shuttered school new life as senior housing, or remade an abandoned brewery into a job training center for the disadvantaged.
Here are some examples of successful historic tax credit projects:
- Art Academy of Cincinnati (Ohio)
- Clipper Mill (Maryland)
- McCormick-Goodhart Mansion (Maryland)
- Michigan Bell Building (Michigan)
- Wilber School Apartments (Massachusetts)
