Pueblo Places and Faces: A Lifetime of Photography by Lee Marmon. A selection of 88 works by Lee Marmon, the official photographer of the Pueblo of Acoma for nearly six decades. Marmon’s photographs have been published and exhibited internationally, most recently at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian in New York City. Never-before seen images of Acoma Pueblo and the collection of images taken throughout the career of this famed photographer and Laguna Tribe Elder explores the living culture of the state’s Pueblo tribes and will be the last exhibition of his work before retiring at age 82.
The exhibit at the Haak'u Museum is open from 8:00am-4:00pm. $4 Admission fee.
