Children’s Five Day Summer Camp: Uncovering Plantations
Sponsored by Gibbes Museum of Art and Drayton Hall
Use the visual arts and history to investigate the plantation during this special week-long children's summer camp for ages 7-12 with the Gibbes and Drayton Hall (a National Trust Historic Site). Led by staff from both organizations, young artists will creatively explore colonial architecture and design as well as environmental awareness. This session includes in-gallery discussions, walking tours of Drayton Hall, archaeological site visits and hands-on art making workshops. Day 1 and 5 will take place at the Gibbes Museum. The remaining sessions will take place at Drayton Hall. The week-long camp is $160 for Friends and $175 for non-members.
