Historic Downtown Helena

Helena is having a resurgence. A renewed interest in downtown has led to new shops, upper-floor housing, and more special events. Main Street Helena is leading the way in the revitalization efforts of our community. Tourism development is a major component of our economic development strategy, and is leading to some exciting eco and heritage tourism projects - everything from nature-based tourism at the River to the interpretation of our Civil War sites. While there are many postitive things happening, there is still much work to be done to protect our building stock downtown and to recruit new businesses to those buildings.Our downtown is the heart of our community and its success is vital to the success of our community as a whole.
