Donald Judd (1928-1994), an American Minimalist, bought this 1870 Nicholas Whyte, five-story cast-iron former sewing factory in 1968 to serve as his house and studio. '101 Spring Street' is the only remaining completely intact, single-use, cast-iron building in the SoHo Cast-Iron Historic District of Manhattan.
