Greene County Training School
Snow Hill, NC
Built in 1925, the Greene County Training School stands today with a portion of the building being used as a textile manufacturer, providing jobs to the community.
The grant funds will be used to restore windows, carpentry and doors; to clean and repair masonry; and to install a new roof and HVAC system.
Once restored, the building will continue to house the textile manufacturer, and a new adult literacy center will be added. The history of the school and community will be displayed on the classroom walls.
The Lenior County Community College will manage the restoration project. To learn more, visit www.lenoirrcc.edu.
