Hamilton Rosenwald School
Hamilton, NC

The Hamilton Rosenwald School was built in 1914 and continued to operate as a school until 1960.
The grant funding will go towards the structural rehabilitation of the building in order to return it to a usable condition.
Once complete, the building will serve as an eco- and cultural heritage tourism center on the Roanoke River. It will feature the educational history, natural resources, and culture of the region while stimulating economic growth.
The Roanoke River Partners will manage the restoration project. For more information, visit www.roanokeriverpartners.org.
