R.A. Clement
Cleveland, NC

The R.A. Clement School was built in 1928 as a four teacher, brick school building.
The R.A. Clement School has undertaken complete interior and exterior renovations as part of a larger rehabilitation project. The grant funds will be applied to exterior repairs to the windows, doors, trim, masonry work and porches.
Once complete, the building will serve as the community center, children's library, and as an assembly room for community events. It will be an interactive facility for the community members to share information, and as an arena for recreational and social functions.
The West Rowan Neighborhood Advisory Council will manage the restoration project.
