The San Domingo Community and Cultural Center was built in 1919.  It currently serves the community as a meeting place for nearly a dozen local organizations

The grant funds will be used to restore the windows and exterior siding to their historic configurations in order to truly preserve the original style of the school.

The restored building will serve as a community and cultural center. Through partnerships with local schools, it will                                                                                                      also educate students about local, African American history.

The John Quinton Foundation will manage the restoration project. For more information, visit www.johnquintonfoundation.org.
