The Lil' Red Schoolhouse, also known as the Drew Rosenwald School, was built in 1923.

The grant funds will be used to finish the interior portion of the building restoration project.  Window, floors, bathrooms and electrical services will be repaired, updated or replaced.

Once complete, the building will be used as the headquarters for the local Boys and Girls Club, fostering youth and                                                                                             community activity and serving as an important historical tie.

Holly Grove Community Development will manage the restoration project.  For more information about the Lil' Red Schoolhouse, visit www.drewrosenwaldschool.org.
