The Warren County Training School, later known as North Warren High School, was built in 1932 as an 11 teacher school building.  It continued to serve as a high school until 1963, and still still stands as one of the largest Rosenwald Schools in the country.

The funds will be applied to a larger building stabilization project which will                                                                                              include repairs to the roof, bracing, flooring, siding and other trim, among others.

Once completely restored, the building will become the National Julius Rosenwald Cultural and Empowerment Center and will continue to be used for community service programs, as well as for a performing and cultural arts center.

The Warren County Training School-North Warren High School Alumni Association & Friends organization will manage the restoration project.  For more information, visit www.wcts-nwhs.org.
