Edward V. Valentine Sculpture Studio
A major 19th-century artist, Edward V. Valentine (1838-1930) was one of the most talented Southern sculptors of the post-Civil War period, specializing in portraiture depicting American icons such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, as well as international figures like Robert Burns. The studio houses a substantial collection of Valentine's work, ranging from bronze busts to small plaster statues, as well as tools and personal effects.
