3 buildings remain in this ghost town: 1) the Chew Kee herb shop founded by the famous herb doctor, Fan-chung Yee, in the 1850s, then turned over to Chew Kee around 1870. Chew Kee and his wife left in 1911, leaving the property to their adopted son Jimmie Chow (Chow You Fong), who died in 1965, the last Chinese American resident of the town, 2) the gambling hall, a one-story rectangular brick building, and 3) a two-story brick general store.
