John Landis House

Visitor Information

1001 N. Crescent Dr
Beverly Hills, California

Designed by the famous African American architect Paul Revere Williams, this Colonial Revival style home was constructed in 1955 for John Landis, owner of a successful produce company. Landis widely promoted his produce as a symbol of the California lifestyle, and requested his home, which has many outdoor living areas, be designed in a similar fashion.  The house was so well received that it was featured in a photo spread in a 1962 issue of the magazine House Beautiful.
