Baltic's Amber Coast: Copenhagen to St. Petersburg Aboard Sea Cloud II

Embark Sea Cloud II in Copenhagen and set sail for the charming, unspoiled island of Christianso. Disembark in Klaipeda, Lithuania, and continue to Vilnius for an overnight stay. In the city's Old Town -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site -- view the Gates of Dawn, Gediminas Castle, St. Anne's Church, the synagogue and the former Jewish ghetto. Drive to Riga, Latvia, to admire its medieval churches and superb Art Nouveau architecture before rejoining Sea Cloud II. Sail to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Visby, Sweden, to explore its medieval ruins and botanical gardens. Stay overnight in Stockholm and visit the Royal Castle of Drottningholm, modeled after Versailles. In Tallinn, Estonia, step ashore to tour the country's oldest church and enjoy a private concert. Discover the modern architecture and fine art of Helsinki, Finland, before sailing to magnificent St. Petersburg, Russia.

We are delighted to be accompanied by Ellenor Alcorn, Curator of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, who will lecture on the art we will see; Timothy J.Colton, the Morris and Anna Feldberg Professor of Government at Harvard University, a Russia expert and the author of Yeltsin: A Life (Basic Books, 2008); and Peter MacKeith, Associate Professor of Architecture at Washington University in St. Louis, who lectures widely on Finnish architecture.
