Waterways of the Russia: Moscow to St. Petersburg Aboard Volga Dream
July 24 - August 3, 2013
In the fabled city of Moscow, Russia’s political and commercial capital, see the world’s largest collection of Fabergé eggs. While moored in St. Petersburg, tsar Peter the Great’s “Window on the West,” enjoy an early opening of the Hermitage Museum. Cruise through Russia’s heartland along scenic rivers, lakes, and canals, calling in the Golden Ring cities of 10th century Uglich; medieval Yaroslavl; Goritsy, with its 14th-century monastery; and the legendary open-air museum of Kizhi Island, dedicated to astounding wooden architecture.
