From Inverness in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, see the battle-Castle. Continue to the Orkney Islands to discover the Stone Age settlement of Skara Brae and tour the Queen Mother’s summer residence. Stroll through Inverewe Gardens with many exotic plant species. Explore Iona, Islay, and Rum, then set a course for Belfast to visit the National Trust property of Mount Stewart and Grey Abbey at the invitation of the Montgomery family. Conclude in Dublin for a private visit to Helen Dillon’s celebrated urban garden.

Tour Itinerary
July 28 - Depart New York on an overnight flight to Edinburgh
July 29 - Join an architectural tour that follows the famed Royal Mile from Edinburgh Castle down to the Royal Palace of Holyrood House; Lunch is at the renowned Balmoral Hotel before our visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia; Board the awaiting Clipper Odyssey
July 30 - Discover the university city of Aberdeen; Visit 16th-century Crathes Castle and its extensive gardens; Later, visit the Aberdeen Art Gallery and the Maritime Museum
July 31 - Explore the city of Inverness and its historic surrounding including the Highlands—Cawdor Castle
August 1 - Step ashore this morning in the busy Orkney harbor town of Kirkwall to tour the remarkable Stone Age settlement of Skara Brae; Continue to Maes Howe, a well-preserved burial mound dating from around 2,800 B.C.E.; Nearby are enigmatic the prehistoric sites—the Ring of Brodgar and the Standing Stones of Stenness; cruise past the entrance to Scapa Flow, home of the Royal Navy during both World Wars
August 2 - Today our ship enters picturesque Loch Ewe; Tour the magnificent Inverewe Gardens, where subtropical vegetation thrives and blooms year; See rare flora brought from all around the world; On the mountainous island of Rhum, we will visit by special permission an Edwardian shooting lodge
August 3 - On the island of Mull, Tobermory’s protected harbor creates an attractive anchorage for pleasure yachts; go ashore for a walk along the brightly painted houses of its waterfront; During lunch on board, Clipper Odyssey travels past Fingal’s Cave on the Isle of Staffa; Explore Iona, its 6th-century abbey, and the burial sites of Scottish kings
August 4 - Cruise past the spectacular scenery of Northern Ireland; The ship anchors at Portrush for a pastoral drive to Baronscourt, seat of the Duke and Duchess of Abercorn; We are invited for lunch and a tour of the paintings and decorative arts collections of this great Georgian house; enjoy a relaxed walk through its gardens
August 5 - Join a tour of this capital city; See the Ulster Museum, which houses an extensive collection of works by Irish painters; Maritime enthusiasts may opt to visit the Titanic Museum; Visit Ballywalter Park, a country estate where we are invited by Lord and Lady Dunleath for a private lunch and a viewing of their family collections
August 6 - Explore the rolling countryside of County Down today; Visit the 19th-century National Trust property of Mount Stewart; Continue to Grey Abbey, the Georgian home of art collectors Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery who have invited us for lunch
August 7 - Today we are guests for coffee at the home of author Helen Dillon, whose urban garden is justly celebrated; Continue to the National Gallery, where Adrian Le Harivel, curator of British and Dutch paintings, will lead us through the collection; The captain hosts our farewell dinner this evening
August 8 - Depart on a flight to New York
