The minimum age limit for the program is 14. Children must pay the full price, and those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants must be in excellent health and able to participate in tour activities, as our itineraries tend to be quite full. If you have any doubt about your ability to participate fully due to health conditions or disabilities, contact the National Trust at 888-484-8785. The National Trust for Historic Preservation and/or our tour operators reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as members of our tours at any time.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation penalties and fees are determined by the tour operator and vary from operator to operator and tour to tour. Please contact the National Trust who can provide you with full information on cancellation penalties prior to registering on a tour. For all tours, written Cancellation is required to process a refund.

Travel Insurance

The National Trust for Historic Preservation strongly recommends that all tour participants purchase Trip Cancellation, Emergency Medical Evacuation, Baggage, Accident and Medical insurance for their tour. Upon our receipt of your initial tour deposit, a comprehensive travel insurance plan, underwritten by the Monumental General Casualty Company, will be made available to all National Trust tour participants. This insurance offers an important, time-sensitive feature regarding pre-existing medical conditions: Trip Cancellation and Medical insurance gives You coverage for pre-existing medical conditions (even for immediate family and travel companions) provided (1) you purchase the insurance within 15 days of the date of your confirmation letter from National Trust Tours receiving your initial deposit; (2) you insure all prepaid trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions; and (3) you are not disabled from travel at the time you pay your premium. Additionally, it is important to purchase the insurance plan within the same time limit so that you can also receive the financial protection from losses due to travel supplier insolvency and from your canceling due to certain terrorist events. Please call Travel Insurance Services at 800-937-1387 if you have questions regarding the offering.

Itinerary or Program Modifications

While every effort will be made to carry out the program as planned, the program as described is subject to modification and change by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and our tour operators.

A Note About Cost

All tour prices are per person, based on double occupancy, unless otherwise noted. A limited number of single rooms are available at extra cost on a first-come, first-served basis. The tour costs are based upon current airfares, tariffs, and currency values at time of pricing and on the basis of a minimum number of participants. While we do everything possible to maintain the listed prices, they are subject to change.
