History comes alive for the whole family on this Mediterranean voyage. Explore Athens before setting sail for fabled Troy and Ephesus. Continue to the fortified town of Rhodes; Santorini, with its legacy of volcanic eruptions; and Crete's Minoan Palace of Knossos. Also visit Diros's mysterious caves and Olympia, where some of the Panhellenic Games were held. Youth education counselors lead the Young Explorers Program, a series of activities developed to enhance children's appreciation of the sites visited.
Study Leader Information
Dr. Diane Cline is a professorial lecturer in Classics at The George Washington University; Albert Leonard, Jr., is Professor Emeritus in both the Departments of Classical Archaeology and Near Eastern Studies at the University of Arizona.
